Ford Ranger 2016: The details – These are The New Features
Virtually indestructible, yet blessed versatile and with real terrain features, the Ford conquered Ranger the pickup segment and receives 2016 comprehensive model refinement that has it all: an even sharper exterior styling, a more up-assessed, modernized interior and a number of innovative technologies. But not enough: The more advanced engines provide a reduction in fuel consumption by up to 15 percent. The launch of the redesigned 2016 Ford Ranger is expected in the 1st quarter of 2016.

New face for the number 1
The Ford Ranger is under the pickups so popular that it 2014, with 4,578 new registrations and a market share of 31.9 percent, led the segment. 2011 was Ford’s share of the German pickup segment only 16.8 percent – came to 2012, the new Ranger.

Ford Ranger 3.2 TDCi (200 PS): For maximum performance and tow loads of the latest generation of the proven 3.2-liter TDCi five-cylinder diesel engine is available. Among the upgrades of the updated unit counts the revised exhaust gas recirculation to increase efficiency – with an engine power of 200 hp unchanged and a maximum torque of 470 Nm rich.
Ford Ranger 2.2 TDCi (130 PS and 160 PS PS): The new Ranger, there is also a 2.2-liter TDCi four-cylinder diesel engine with either 130 hp or – in combination with a standard start-stop system – will also be available with 160 hp. Depending on model and options, the fuel consumption is reduced by up to 15 percent. Additional data were Ford not yet known.
Excellent terrain features: The really what
The Ford Ranger, we subjected the test itself, remains one of the most powerful cars in its class: the fording depth is 80 inches and the ground clearance of 23 inches – so that the new Ranger is confident in extreme terrain ahead. Thanks to the slope angle of 28 degrees forward and 25 degrees backward, the driver even handles steep obstacles. Entering a new navigation destination Ford also improved: The destination address must not be longer fashionable in individual steps, but can now be notified of speech recognition in a sentence. Known “points of interest”, such as the Brandenburg Gate and the Cologne Cathedral, the system finds even without exact address details. For those looking for a restaurant, it is sufficient to activate voice control by pressing a button and simply, “I’m hungry” to say. Already on the monitor screen a list of those restaurants that are located nearby.
In addition, a simple enough command such as “Maximum cooling” or “temperature 20 degrees” to control the air conditioning. Music fans can also look forward to the improved operation of the audio system: simply connect MP3 players, call song and / or artist and enjoy. A 240-volt outlet in the new Ranger provides additional comfort: Move electrical devices can be connected or recharge.
Driver Wizard: upgraded for safety
Also in terms of safety and comfort of the Ford Ranger equipped on. Lane Assist (Lane Keeping Aid) prevents the unintentional lane departure, while the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) allows driving at a pre-selected speed, taking into account the prevailing traffic conditions.
